What we know about the Apalachee High School shooting victims

Nine individuals have been wounded and four people have died in a shooting at Winder, Georgia’s Apalachee High School.
Mason Schermerhorn, Christian Angulo, Christina Irimie, and Richard Aspinwall were the pupils and instructors that passed away, according to officials.
Colt Gray, the 14-year-old suspect, was taken into custody and will face adult charges.
What is now known about the attack victims is as follows.

Mason Schermerhorn

Schermerhorn was one of two teenagers who lost their lives. His mother’s friends informed the New York Times that he had just begun attending Apalachee.
He was characterized as easygoing and having fun with video games, reading, and trips to Walt Disney World.
Doug Kilburn told the newspaper that Schermerhorn had a “positive attitude about everything.”
Louis Briscoe recounted how the boy’s mother informed him of Schermerhorn’s death, saying, “Nobody should have to go through this type of pain.”

Christian Angulo

Lisette Angulo said that she was the older sister of the second 14-year-old victim of the incident.
In an attempt to raise funds for the funeral, she described her brother as “a very good kid and very sweet and so caring” on a GoFundMe page. She continued, conveying her sadness at her loss, by saying that the youngster was “loved by many”.
He was recalled by his schoolmates as humorous and having a “chill” demeanor, according to Fox 5 Atlanta. After learning of the tragic incident, a buddy who said the two had been friends since middle school stated he was “in denial”.

Christina Irimie

Christina Irimie was one of the two educators who perished in the gunfire.
The 53-year-old is listed as a math instructor on the Apalachee High School website.
She was characterized by students as kind and patient, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.

Richard Aspinwall

Richard Aspinwall, a 39-year-old math instructor, was also murdered.
According to US media, he was also the school’s defensive coordinator for American football. He’s gotten praise from his fellow athletes.
Aspinwall was a former coach and teacher at nearby Mountain View High School, which expressed its “thoughts and prayers” for his family.
Aspinwall was described on social media by Brandon Gill, the football coach at neighboring Buford High School, as a “helluva human being” who “would do anything for anyone.” He continued, calling himself a “amazing husband, father, teacher, and coach.”

People injured in the Georgia high school shooting

Eight pupils and a teacher were hurt in addition to the four fatalities.
